A State Level Advisory Unit for the Special Development Councils will be located in the SCSTRTI and will work under the direct supervision & guidance of the Director, SCSTRTI & Ex-Officio Advisor, Tribal Development & SDC to Govt. in P & C Department.
It will be a Think Tank comprising of experienced Tribal Domain Experts i.e., Anthropologists & Tribal Culture specialists.
The Experts will make periodic visit to the selected tribal pockets of Council area and study the situation in respect of various activities meant for retaining the cultural identity of the Tribals
They will give suggestion(s), if any, for implementation of various activities for retention of tribal identity to the Director cum Special Secretary SCSTRTI, who in turn will compile a brief report with recommendations quarterly to the Development Commissioner for appropriate action.
Government in P & C Department will bear the establishment cost of State Level Advisory Unit.
