Phulbani ITDP was launched on dt 30.12.1975 as per TSP Guidelines which was registered as ITDA in the year 1979 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Its nomenclature was changed to ITDA on 1.4.1979. ITDA, Phulbani comprises of one revenue Sub-Division, seven Tahasils, 3 Blocks (Phulubani, Phiringia and Khajuripada), 44 GPs and 910 villages. It is bounded by Ganjam district in the East, Sonepur district in the West, Boudh district in the North and Kandhamal district in the South. The ITDA is situated 200 25’N and 200 70’ N Latitude and 830 75’ E and 840 75’ E Longitude. The geographical area of Phulbani ITDA is 2017.61 Sq. Kms. The ITDA area is covered by Hills and forests. The climate of the area is sub-tropical. The Maximum Temperature is 44 C and the minimum temperature is 30 C. The normal annual rainfall of the district is about 1597 mm. The whole ITDA area has some historical places, namely Putudi waterfall, Kantamal waterfall and Katangi cave. Khajuripada is one of the Chief Visiting Station of the meriah agent. Phiringia is an important commercial place and Phulabani is famous for ‘Thakurani Jatra’. The total forest area of the project is about 991.61q. kms. The soil type is Red Sands loam with less water holding capacity and Black Alluvial. The major crops grown in the ITDA area are paddy, maize, ragi, arhar, turmeric & ginger.

Balliguda ITDP was established in the year 1975 as per TSP Guidelines which was registered as ITDA in the year 1979 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Jurisdiction of the ITDA Balliguda comprises of one revenue Sub-Division, 9 Blocks namely Balliguda, Kotogarh, Tumudibandh, K. Nuagaon, Daringbadi, Raikia, G. Udayagiri, Tikabali and Chakapad, 109 GPs and 1679 villages. It is bounded by Ganjam district in the East, Kalahandi & Koraput district in the West, Phulbani sub-division in the North and Koraput & Ganjam district in the South. The ITDA is situated 190 30’N and 840 39’ N Latitude. The geographical area of Balliguda ITDA is 3061 Sq. Kms. The ITDA area is covered by wild Hilly tracts intersected in all directions. The climate of the area is sub-tropical. The Maximum Temperature is 400 C and the minimum temperature is 40 C. The normal annual rainfall of the district is about 1455.98 mm. The ITDA area has some historical places, namely Baliguda which is an important commercial place and famous for Maa Patakhanda temple, Belghar is famous for Usabaliis, the beauty spot in this hilly area, Chakapad famous for Lord Bitupakhya, lord Anadeswar, lord Jogeswar & Banabasi Kalyana Ashram, Daringbadi, known as the Drajling of Odisha, G.Udaygiri a place known for its scenic view of the surrounding forests. There is a place called “Samapanguda” near Guma, which the tribal people consider as their place of origin. Raikiais is an important market centre for commercial crops like turmeric and ginger. Tikabali is an important trading place of the Balliguda ITDA. The total forest cover of the ITDA is about 1104.80 Sq kms. The soil type is Moderately Fertile. The major crops grown in the ITDA area are paddy, maize, ragi, till, bin, mustard, ground nut, potato, turmeric & ginger.

Kutia Kandh Development Agency (KKDA), Belghar was established in the year (1978-1979) during 5^th Five Year Plan (1974-79) and registered under Society Registration Act, 1860. Its head quarters is located at Belghar of Kandhmal district. It is located 30kms away from Tumudibandh Block of Kandhmal District. Presently it is functioning in its own Building at Belghar. It is spread over 3 GPs in Tumudibandh Block of Kandhmal District. The Kutia Kandh Development Agency, Belghar is situated between 18˚. 15’ to 18˚.30’N Latitude and 82˚.15’ to 82˚.30’E Longitude. The total geographical area of the project is 300. sq.kms. The average annual rain fall of the project area is 60 mm to 70 mm per year. The type of soil found in the area is Red Alluvial Soil Group.
